Lobby Displays

One might look at Monty D'Ysquith Navarro as being merely lucky or think that they could easily get away with murder. However, with many different micro-chances of what could happen, it is honestly very unlikely.

(Right)

So the audience was welcome to play and see if their decisions would allow them to get away with murder. Unfortunately, the only ending that allowed you to get away with it, didn't appear to have any way there.

Another game set up to help the audience interact with Highhurst was the look and find with all the different weapons Monty used to kill off the D'Ysquith family. Audience members were able to look during intermission. Some even took pictures and looked for all the different weapons.

(Below)

As the audience members entered the theatre they were greeted with a D'Ysquith family tree. There was a branch extending that appeared to be less full and attached with duct tape, the branch being Monty and his mother. The rest were the more public members of the D'Ysquith family.

As the show progressed each family member's portrait was replaced with a new on with X's as Monty was slowly killing off his family.

Answers: Church, Saw&Skates, Bees, Dumbell, Pistol, Headstone(natural causes), Axe, Poison.

You can try and choose your own adventure to get away with murder.

Note: If you are fit to team up with Monty you have to make it to the final answer in the box, unfortunately no decision will get you there.

Program Writeups

I had the opportunity to work on the program study guide and do some writeups for this production. Talking about family disownment and what that could mean for Monty and his mother, as well as covering the concepts of doubling (nontupling in this production) and how that can affect the audience's thoughts towards specific characters. These allowed the audience to think deeper and more analytically understand and analyze this show.

You can check them out in the full program below.

Family Bio's for Social Media

I was able to make short bios for each family member to help the audience better understand the world before they even met the family members.

I had the idea of writing up and making bios for each of the D'Ysquith family for Regalo to post on their social media. Each was accompanied with quick quips from the characters about the production and information on show times. This allowed the audience to start to see the D'Ysquith family and understand them a little better so when they showed up they already knew information about them. Scroll through to see each family member and their information.

"All-in-all, I adore this show, and I absolutely recommend seeing this version of it (in fact, my husband and I are planning to go again before the run ends!"
